2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, secure and improve the Service.
- To process payments, send invoices and prevent fraud.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and security alerts.

- To send marketing communications (with your consent where required); you can opt out at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Legal Bases (EEA / UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, direct marketing to business contacts), consent (cookies and certain marketing), and compliance with legal obligations (tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests).
4. Sharing of Information
We share personal data only as described below:
- Service providers / sub-processors: cloud hosting, CDN, transcoding, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, customer support tools — bound by data protection contracts and permitted to use data only to provide services to us.
- Our customers (for Viewer data): when you watch content on a customer's branded app, that customer is the controller of your data and their privacy policy applies.

We do not sell personal information.
5. International Transfers
Personal data may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than the one in which you reside. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK Addendum.
6. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service and, with your consent where required, analytics and marketing cookies to understand usage and measure campaigns. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or our in-product cookie controls. Disabling certain cookies may degrade the Service.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations (e.g. tax records typically 7 years), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Customer Content is retained per your account configuration; once you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize the related personal data within a reasonable period, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.
8. Security
We implement administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored content, least-privilege access, monitoring and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@signalview.tech. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Viewers: if your data is processed by SignalView on behalf of a customer (e.g. a broadcaster whose app you use), please contact that customer directly to exercise your rights; we will assist them as required.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
